Autodatafy FOR DRIVERS
Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Autodatafy Corp. operates the Autodatafy consumer app and app.autodatafy.com. This policy covers those consumer services, not the separate dealership platform.
1. Information we use
We process account and contact details, vehicle information, service history, uploads, messages and other information you provide. Connected features may also supply vehicle, diagnostic and driving information.
When enabled and permitted on your device, driving features collect precise location, routes, timestamps and motion information, including in the background. Camera, microphone, photos and Bluetooth access depend on the features you use and your device permissions.
2. How we use it
We use information to operate your account, maintain vehicle records, provide driving and service insights, respond to requests, protect the service and improve its reliability and features. Essential cookies or similar storage keep web sessions working.
Usage and diagnostic information can include device details, app interactions, errors and session recordings that reproduce activity within the app. Recordings may include visible text, images and information entered on screens. These records may be linked to your account; they are not necessarily anonymous. Avoid entering unrelated sensitive information.
3. AI and service providers
AI features process the content you submit, such as questions, images or voice-derived text, together with relevant vehicle context. Depending on the feature, processing may occur on our systems or through external AI providers. We may retain interaction records and technical usage information to provide the feature, investigate problems and evaluate results.
Providers supporting hosting, authentication, communications, maps, diagnostics and AI may process information needed for their services. Information may be processed outside your province or country and be subject to local laws. Information you choose to share with a linked dealership or another recipient is also subject to that recipient’s practices. We may disclose information where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and security.
4. Your choices
You can change device permissions and turn drive tracking off in the app’s settings. Autodatafy collects product usage, diagnostic and security information as part of providing and improving the consumer service. Changing a device permission does not erase information already collected and may limit related features.
You can update account information and use Delete Account in the app. For access, correction, consent questions or a request concerning retained personal information, contact us below. We may need to verify your identity. Your rights and any applicable exceptions depend on the laws that apply to you.
5. Retention and account deletion
Account deletion removes your active user profile and linked vehicle records. It does not necessarily erase every copy of information immediately: usage, diagnostic and AI interaction records, security records and backups may remain separately. Deleted items may also have a recovery period before removal.
Retention depends on the record and the purpose for which it is held, including operating and improving the service, security, resolving issues and legal requirements. There is no single deletion period for all records. Contact us to ask about retained information or request its deletion; we will assess the request under applicable law.
6. Security and updates
We use safeguards intended to protect information, but no system is completely secure. This service is not intended for children who cannot lawfully consent to its use. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information without appropriate consent.
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date above identifies this version. Material changes will be brought to your attention, and additional consent sought where required. A policy update does not replace permissions or consent required for a particular feature.
